Secret Lagoons tour

The tour of "Secret lagoons" is all done in the Planalto da Achada, identified as one of Pico Island Geosites belonging to the Azores Geopark, as well as a Special Protection Area classified by the RAMSAR Convention on Wetlands of International Importance as a waterfowl habitat.

The tour provides you amazing sights and scenarios of a rich and unique biodiversity, covering a volcanic mountain range 29km long with 190 monogenetic volcanoes, and eruptive fissures, cinder cones and lava spatter, where its craters are occupied by Secret Lagoons and viewpoints where you will explore the immense beauty of Pico Island.
